They'll even work with 1/4" panels. You just need to prep the cab properly, with a 3/8" radius round-over router bit.
I would have had to shave down the face on the corner protectors or tweak the back panel to make it removable. Plus it would have looked goofy on the front with the corners overhanging the horn (not goofy like it does now, but bad goofy  ).

Just pull the corners when you need to pull the back. PITA if you pull the back weekly, but why would you?

I would imagine this was to give a bit more meat to screw into rather than just 1/2" ply.

This just never even crossed my mind  . Mostly the reasons were aesthetic. I wanted it to look cool and once I thought about pushing out the corners other ideas started getting pushed back in my mind. At least until I started with the filler, which whooped me but good repeatedly. Now that its all put together (if not finished) I am really glad I did it that way.

.

Maybe it could be, but I only used 1/2" screws on it. :cowboy:

Looks great! Are you going to make a rack case for that Peavey head the same color?
Once you go Jack, you never go back!

Done:
(2) Jack 12, 3012ho, Straight Array with On/Off Switch
In Process
(4) Dr200 Beta 8, Melded Array

That is the plan. I also have a bass refinish project that I'm going to give a whirl in that color, and if I have enough left after my 110's then I might also do an effect/ accessories case in that color. No more questions over whose gear that is :D.

I thought Barbie had an elevator on her dream mansion

That's actually pretty sweet.

I was going to get all offended, but then I noticed it was an astute observation  .

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.

I thought it was England going to the dogs, but now BFM thinks Barbie's mansion looks "way cool". Time to start packing heat. :noob:

Good lookin' cab!

Did you EQ for flat, or is a personal preference?

Thanks!

I think I was going for the reverse response curve before I just started tweaking away. I dropped everything above about 2.5k since I don't have my piezos installed. I don't have any measuring equipment, so flat is really just a mystery to me. I just tweak it till I have the frequencies I want and dump the freq's I don't. 8)

I still haven't gotten it into a jam setting, so I don't know how I'm going to like the EQ yet. I do like standing in front of it with loose fitting pants. I haven't had a pant flapping rig in a while and it's pretty fun :D.
