It all looks so easy when the panels are so small.

Why did you use OSB for the driver spacer?????

Re: T48 @16" Wide With Lab 12
Using the lab 12 in the T48 calls for a 3/4" spacer. I have plenty of the 3/4" OSB laying around. A sheet of 3/4" Arauco costs $38 at Lowes and I didn't want to go buy a whole sheet just to cut out a few spacers as I will eventually build 3 more T48's. I would have no other use for the 3/4 Arauco after that. Just trying to save a little money by using what I had on hand.
What do you think are the ramifications for using the OSB for the spacer?

None, as it's not a structural member. Just be sure your driver mounting screws go fully into the plywood panel, as OSB won't hold them well. Or use blind nuts.ontime1269 wrote: What do you think are the ramifications for using the OSB for the spacer?

Re: T48 @16" Wide With Lab 12
I want to ask if anything is wrong with the way I've installed braces in the past. Before I install a panel, I cut the brace for it. I dry fit the brace and panel to see if the fit is ok. I then PL and Brad Nail the brace to the panel, then attach the brace and panel as one whole piece. This is assuming all panels aren't warped. This has worked well for me in the past. Any opinions?

If it works it works. I install the panel, jig it square, then slide the brace in place. This will fix a warped panel.ontime1269 wrote:I want to ask if anything is wrong with the way I've installed braces in the past. Before I install a panel, I cut the brace for it. Yeah, I 've been doing this build the same way and just ran into a situation where a panel was warped.I install the panel, jig it square, then slide the brace in place. This will fix a warped panel.
