Does anyone know the release date for the iNUKE?

#1 Post by NCcrashman »

I have "guarded" excitement about this amp but I am REALLY going to be watching it as this is hopefully the one I'm going with. Has any heard any 411 on it's release or any early reviews?

Considering they haven't yet released some of the amps from LAST year's NAMM... don't hold your breath.

I don't get it!! What's the deal? They've dumped a ton of marketing in this thing. As soon as I learn to accurately measure a power amp's true output, I want to see what they really put out.

EPQ900 is now finally expected to arrive within a few weeks in shops here. Has been "coming soon" since last year's NAMM (or before, not sure, it has been quite a while  ).

I'm glad so many people are pumped about these amps. Should be plenty of reviews of that first batch.

That's awesome to hear since they're on my "short" list along with the new Carvin DCM's. Carvin has finally released their new X-Drive and they really trimmed it down. No more 8x8 matrix. Now it's 3 in 6 out. They also cut it down to a single rack space but I digress 8-)
The Behringer is Class-D with a switchable power supply and the Carvin is A/B without any DSP. The money savings is in the Behringer as is the wattage if their numbers are accurite. I hope it turns out to be a good amp.

I didn't find it on Carvin's site. Do you have a link?

It's not up on their site yet. It was in their latest catalog I just received. I called them today and it's just a issue of not being up yet.

Here's the quick tour:
:Carvin XD360 Digital EQ Loudspeaker Management: $399/USD
-Usb/pc programming
-3 inputs assignable to any 6 output's (3-XLR & 3 Trs)
-6 Outputs-triple 2-way to single 6-way systems (6-XLR)
- Stores Sixteen 3x6 systems
- Matrix mixing- any input to any output
- Limiter on each of the 6 outputs
- Made in the USA/ California
- High/Low X-over on each of the 6 outputs
- 125' (126ms) Delay
- 4 Full range parametric EQ's on each of the 6 outputs
- Bessel' Butterworth and Linkowitz-Riley 6-48db/ octive filters
- 24 bit low noise converts

Hope this helps,
-Patrick-

I asked Behringer about this, and they have said they are projecting a release date of end of July/early August.

So assume they'll be on general release by September time, I would guess?

The Nuke has great features but I couldn't find any real specs.
I just bought a Carvin DCM1000 and this amp sounds really good. Ultra low THD and high damping factor - this amp has excellent specs.

I don't think I could trust Behringer for anything over $100, even though I heard the early EP power amps were great.
