XTI 4000, 4 T30 each side?

#1 Post by osse »

Hello, I wonder if this will be a safe setup?

4x t30(1x3012lf) = electronically 1 ohm if wired parallell, but from what I understood the cab construction adds 2 ohm per cab, how will the amp percieve this?

Will it be 10/4? or will it be 8/4+2? could someone please explain this?

I also didn't find any voltage numbers on the XTI amps, will a XTI 4000 amp be able to drive 8x T30(4 on each side) with 1x 3012LF to their full potential without overheating or be driven too hard?

Is voltage delivery of the amp being divided by every cab added, so for example if the amp delivers 70 volts, will this be 70/4 volts each cab is seeing if 4 cabs is added?

Thanks!

Yes you can do it you will be running each side @ 2.5ohms. I have done it many times on an xti 4000 although I would not recommend running it at war volume for extended periods of time in excessive heat for obvious reasons.

Great to hear! I guess I won't have to push the stuff that much to achieve desired pressure, and even above?:)
