My build of a Tuba HT sub
Re: My build of a Tuba HT sub
Sure, it'll work. It might not compress as well, which might make the panel sit a little proud. It's up to you.

gotcha, and this stuff compresses well, like really stinking well. I was just worried that the material would let air in due to being made of slightly different material than the PE speaker gasket tape.Tom Smit wrote:Sure, it'll work. ok, finally got my ass around to installing on that access panel to my second tht.... ran a test sounds great, found a Tiny airleak around the access panel due to a divit in the wood creating a sligh pinprick passage to the outside (only really detectable with tube on something with really low extension). didn't have any PL lying around the house anymore so I ran a think bead of Silicone Caulk around that area to seal it off. just verifying that it will hold or will I need to yank it off and grab some pl from my buddy?
Re: My build of a Tuba HT sub
The silicone might hold. If it doesn't, you could put a touch of body filler on that divot, and sand it smooth when cured.
