I never understood the engineering behind those exhaust filters. I see the point where you want to filter the inlet, but at the outlet? To keep the dust inside the amp? That's a nonsense. I removed the filters on my 3 Behringer.Drey Chennells wrote:Don't run hotter than anything else, maybe less. Especially if you pull the exhaust filter.

You can get Xti's shipped from the US, they are one of the few amps that have a switch mode power supply that will run on anything between 100V and 250V, 50hz and 60hz. Prices for "B-stock with full warranty" on the bay, shipped from the US, are very low for european standards.Dave Non-Zero wrote:over here the xti are waaaay more pricey than the ep4000. Plus I already have the processor.

I work in the air filter industry and so I guess the thinking would be "well, if you got to the length of filtering the inlet air in to keep the inside clean, then you don't want to waste that effort by induced unfiltered air coming into the unit through the exhaust when the amp is turned off, fan is thus off and not providing positive pressurisation, whilst the system cools down."Frederic Gelinas wrote:I never understood the engineering behind those exhaust filters.
