those beamblockers http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/ ... sku=660007 are really worth the pain??? they do as promised?? can I make one out of a piece of scrap wood???

They do work, I don't know how well. Making one would not be the least bit difficult. Making an XF Cab is a bit more work, but worth it.
