So far I have been able to knock down about 10 tools from my workshop and rattle my stove to pieces. Think its overkill? The guests love it though
2 X T39 (3012LF loaded) in my basement
2 X T39 (3012LF loaded) in my basement
....so I am in the middle of hosting an 80s party in my basement right now for some friends. I have 2 T39 corner loaded in my small space (15 X 30 foot space) and the kitchen is above the subs, and my workshop is next to the titans in the corner.
So far I have been able to knock down about 10 tools from my workshop and rattle my stove to pieces. Think its overkill? The guests love it though

Hope it's not a gas stove!
Bigger boom than the subs!
Wait until there's structural damage. That'd probably be overkill.
Hope you all have/had a great time!

Re: 2 X T39 (3012LF loaded) in my basement
Ok so last night was a great night. The titans sounded fantastic, and blended really well with my cheapo floor standing speakers I have (until the Otop 12 are complete). I had compliments from everyone on how nice the bass was and how powerful it could be (some of them sat in the corner where the V plate should go when I was playing).
We played a bunch of genres from 80s, to current house/dance tunes, to some jungle and lots of electro. The titans kept up with all of it. I had them HP around 50 hz on my QSC amp and I thought they were going to be a little punchy and not sound as good as my auto tubas I had built a few weeks before but I was wrong. The sensitivity of them made up for all of that and I didn't even miss the extended range that my auto tubas could play.
I think for the most part I had about 10 volts or less going into them. They were in a V configuration facing the corner of the wall but I didn't have the V plate adapter built for them. I had some issues at the beginning with my crossover and it sounded really bad and I thought it was the phase on the horns that was causing the issues and wasn't looking forwarded to having it sound like crap the whole night, but after playing with a few buttons everything worked out and it sounded great.
I can't wait now to try them out in a larger space to see how they really perform when I turn the gains up.

Re: 2 X T39 (3012LF loaded) in my basement
Just to add as well. We respect our neighbors so when the party first started I sent my brother outside to listen if he could hear anything from our house and he only said when you were on the porch could you hear a little thumping. I also went in the backyard and listened for anything that might cause the neighbors to get upset and it was minimal. I like to have these get together so in order for me to continue I have to respect my neighbors as well.
Re: 2 X T39 (3012LF loaded) in my basement
One last thing to add.
I just want thank whoever mentioned to me to use a piece of tubing to check for air leaks on the box. I had used the tube to check for an air leak around the driver gasket and around seams inside the chamber. I had put the foam gasket on the lid and screwed it down and tested without the tube and couldn't hear anything out of the ordinary. I was about to put the subs in service but decided to just check for the fun of it and found a very faint leak around the corner of the lid that I could not detect without the tube. I don't know if it would have done any damage but I like to play it safe.
So thank you whoever mentioned that to me
