I figured I'd share in case anyone was wondering........
Parts Express recommended the 20W wirewound resistor with Piezos... the 20ohm model actually. I asked about this, and Bill said it was to match sensitivity with an lower sensitivity woofer. That made sense. So when I was ready to order, I grabbed the 4ohm versions.......
Then all the buzz started on the board about using non-inductive resistors. Well, I used my Wirewound anyway, and turns out that they don't have any notable effect on the treble output. I checked side by side two WH's that I built... and they sound the same.
I'd like the test the inductance and see where it lies, but I'm going to guess it's so minimal that it rolls off frequencies in the supersonic region.
