The gig last night was a loud rock band in a long narrow bar. 4 DR200's and 2 T39's. First set the kick drum sounded just o.k. but not what I was used to. During the set break I checked my cables to verify they are working. Check. 1 sub good. Check. Next sub good. Check. Daisy chain, sound got lower. Uncheck.
Make sure all your connections are in phase. I had to rewire the jumper cable wrong to get the subs in phase and BAM. Huge sound.
Just a testament to the capability of the designs and how easy it is to short change your self by not checking all your connections.
Thanks Bill, 2 years in and I am developing a reputation killer sound without a 28' box truck.

Re: Just a reminder
One of my Tuba 30s is still awaiting its Speakon through connector to be wired and I inadvertently plugged into it first Friday night at a teen dance party, then out to the next, v plated, no boundary loading available for my location. It sounded OK, but not quite what it should have been doing. One of them was vibrating less than the other, and there was no change with the cable was undone, so that was the one not getting the signal. So running first into this one then out to the other and that fixed it. Man, did those Tubas fill the room. That was probably about a 50 x 50 x 20 room with about 100 kids. So happy with the Tubas. Small, light and they really pound. Even the kids were commenting on it. I'm running off one side of a dual mono Behringer EPQ 1200 amp and highest I went was 32 V. Mostly 24-28 v through the night. Once I build two more to run off the other side of the amp I'm just gonna go nuts.

What was your amp configuration? I am going to have the same set up and want to compare. 16ohm or 8ohm drivers for the 200's?Haysus wrote:The gig last night was a loud rock band in a long narrow bar. 4 DR200's and 2 T39's. Man...it would be so nice to have my horizon rig on my signature finished within two years...I'll just have to wait and see. I've got the amps to drive it right now. Mine should all store nicely in a small cargo trailer.Haysus wrote:
