Lukewarm XLS2500 Review in front of House this month

I have been considering getting a pair of the new Crown amps for monitor duty but the reviews do not seem to be that enthusiastic. The reviewer in FOH basically used them for church monitors and did not gush. Usually when I buy amps I want to be able to use them for something else besides, for example, monitors so their review did not seem like much of a test.

Any experience here, up or down on these bad larry's?

Hope not....got one on the way, should be here tomorrow. I've have the 1000 and the 1500 and like 'em a lot.

A buddy of mine uses 'em for monitor amps (big sound company) and he likes 'em just fine.

Guess it depends on what you want to use 'em for.

An XLS 1000 is on my office system now to test them out. I'm still looking for it to disappoint me in someway but it doesn't look like that's going to happen..
