Yep, same as I will be doing, as far as setup and amps. Except 4 DR200's and 6 T39's, on 2 XTI 4000. Wish I was there, that must have sounded great  .

It will sound phenomenal and the bass will thunder even @ 50hz cutoff when the subs are properly placed.

You can buy 2 conductor 10ga speaker wire on ebay, it's very inexpensive @ 100' for under <$50 and works great. You don't need 10ga so you could go to 12 maybe even 14 ga for your runs if they're shorter...
Yes, copper is copper.... however if you look carefully the connectors of the item on his ebay link isn't Neutrik ends; your wires will rip right out of that plug. Generic speakon connectors sucks! run away.

Thanks for all your tips on wiring!

I know the importance in good wiring. I think this type of wire is a lot different than
xlr cables. For example.. I did a gig last night and used a couple of wired mics instead
of my wireless for karaoke (someone threw my mic last week!) and noticed the cheaper
cables that came with the mics really choked the signal coming through.

I use all mogami quad cables for my speakers and my mic. They are waaaay better
than any other cables I have used. I don't have to turn up gains like other cables.

It seems that speaker cables are different.. just like a power cord. The gauge and end
connectors would be the only difference with the brands available. Right?

microphones signal cable are more prone to noise, the cheap ones are not shielded well.

speakers cables are more forgiving, as long as you match the proper gauge the application. Just use all Neutrik speakon end connectors. Don't use the 1/4", as those are never 100% secure; just not worth the trouble.

From my question about this a while back, Bill posted this link:

I used a 150' of 14/2 and ran a single OT12 for a wedding ceremony. I was stationed up by where the bride/bridal party entered, which was the furthest we could get power out to. The power was run from two 100' 12/3 extension cords plugged into a 20amp outlet.

To my amazement, I had zero issues. So I sat around waiting for the ceremony to start... for 2.5 hours.
