BTW, this is my first build using the piezos instead of compression horns. I won't say that piezos sound better, but they don't sound worse. That being said, if wide dispersion is needed, there is absolutely no reason to ever doubt piezos and their performance. While the build doesn't use a melded array, I can only imagine what one would sound like. I will have more to say when I hear them at war volume Friday night, but first impressions are quite good.

SLA Pro review!!
Just finished my SLA pro last night, excluding finish. Wow!!! I will be using this as a DJ monitor and compared it side by side with one of my omni top 12s. Other than sensitivity, it completely held its own and, personally, I think it sounds better without eq. Very flat response down to about 120hz or so. Falls off pretty quickly after that. It has a very pure sound that is quite uncolored. If I ever need a smaller rig, I will definitely be looking toward these for Mains and a couple of T24s. Can't wait until this weekend when I get to try this puppy out in the real world!!

Re: SLA Pro review!!
Ha!! Good Point. War volume for a monitor is probably only 25 watts or so.
