You can try a fingerdectomy, but the trouble with that is you run out of fingers in no time

Instead of Latex try Nitrile gloves.

Dont try Harley's method, there has to be a better way than surgical removal of a finger lol. What works for me is if i have too much squeeze out i use waxed paper to smooth it out BEFORE i add fasteners.I have 2 pair of regular cheap brown work gloves that i wear over some latex gloves for gluing....most of the time.Sometimes i just use the brown gloves.Even though i wear gloves,i still get PL on my hands after taking the gloves off, turning the cab over etc.,so i keep a rag nearby that has been saturated with vegetable oil.As soon as i get PL on my hands i wipe it off.

If gasoline works, so will nail polish remover. Nasty stuff though.

I first do a complete mock-up of clamps, then unclamp, remove the panel and add PL, install panel and reclamp. If I get any PL on my fingers, I just wipe it off on one of the installed panel since no one will really see it there anyway. Then it's to the sink and wash my hands with Fast Orange hand cleaner. Works great!

I'm a mechanic by trade so I'm used to removing a layer of skin when necessary. Although I do wear gloves most of the time. BTW IME latex is much tougher than nitrile. I only use nitrile when dealing with harsh chemicals.

Vinyl > latex for gloves.

Not as elastic, but tougher, doesn't rip as easy and doesn't catch on things like screw heads and such like latex does.

Whatever method you choose do it properly. I thought I got the worst of it off with, Turps, acetone, unleaded followed up with rigorous scrubbing using one of my girls exfoliating scrubs.

None of them worked 100%

I got funny looks from my employer and occupational therapist at a meeting on Tuesday.... The surgeon still swears I can not work, luckily I had his support as my boss hit me up with a please explain for the unexplained dirt clinging to the fingernails of my newly renovated hand.

If it's still somewhat "wet" sawdust works great. Otherwise I wear latex gloves and smear any extra on an interior panel like was mentioned before, and then grab a handful of sawdust to rub between my hands.

In Argentina the PL equivalent is Fanatite 520.
I take it off my hands by washing with regular soap, bubble up as much as possible and, before rinsing, rub with pomice stone. That is the stuff women use to soften her feet.
Give it a try.

I install automotive glass everyday so nitrile gloves are mandatory at a max of 15minutes when using chemicals, then they are useless. Use Fast Orange wiping towels (or equivalent) if you have any problem but dont try to hurry using the same products to wipe PU off the wood, metal ,etc... Our company here can apply sanctions if you do it the wrong way :cop: .
