Six channels of 100@8Ohm or 150@4Ohm. Or bridge 2 channels for 300@8Ohm. Heavy as hell. Intended usage? I have no 1st hand experience but Rane products have always been top-notch quality.

Had one for many years, ( actually the model which predates the 6S), and used it in many applications. American iron to be sure...Heavy. Can also bridge channels for 300w x3 or other combinations.. Very versatile.
I don't think rane makes the 6er any more. Excellent for perm or semi /fixed install.

yeah.... this would be for carrying =/

300 watts to subs at 8 ohms, 2 otops and a monitor would be a nice little thang though.

Only you can decide what you are willing to carry. Shit gets heavy and old fast at closing time. For not a lot of power, IMVHO, it's too heavy. Dependable, more than likely.

price was the attractive part really. power was kinda low, but I can def see its use as a monitor amp in a permanent install, or even just in a bar with multiple fills.

Got one. Three stereo amps would be pretty expensive. Use it exactly for that. permenent install for monitors. The DCX has 6 outs. Its a good match for 2 subs 2 tops and 2 mons, or a lot of combinations. I had it in a rack with my DCX. Was neat. but got old. I have a bunch of class D amps now, and use those for gigs now. But the Rane is solid and reliable.
