Winter NAMM 2011

#1 Post by Mikey »

NAMM starts in two days. Can't wait to see what new toys will soon be available!

I wonder if Eminence is finally going to give us our 3010LF. They've redesigned their website, but there's no foreshadowing of what's-to-come at NAMM. They have, however, introduced a line of car audio drivers ... Eminator ... or am I just late in knowing about that?

I've noticed that several major guitar effects companies have recently been discontinuing products and offering rebates on some models, so there are likely to be some cool things coming. I've especially got my eye on Source Audio, Boss, and Line6. I hope they haven't forgotten the bass players this time around.

I wouldn't hold my breath for a 3010LF. Bill would have known if it were coming. Unless he's under some non-disclosure agreement.

Yet another new line of lightweight power amps from Behringer, with DSP. Not all models in the EPQ range are available after more than a year since they were announced. Curious to see how long it will take before the iNuke amps hit the shelves. I got myself another amp, not going to wait a year for one to get here.

I would have thought a BP lite was more likely.

Today is the first day of NAMM! News should be filtering on the web throughout the day. Feel free to post whatever you may find interesting in this thread.

I have been looking for a wireless solution to control my DSP.
Too bad you can only get that in the big boy arena, my XTI's will have to rely on the old fashioned setup(USB).

I'm hoping they release an update that opens this up to the XTi as well.

You could see this coming a mile away ... I thought they would announce it a week ago, but waiting until NAMM makes sense.

Sheesh ... cool thing about the GR-55 ... it sells for only $699! Add $100 if you need the pickup. You can preorder thru GC, due date Feb 3. Methinks they're gonna sell like hotcakes.

There are none. They have had supplier problems over the last year and had to retool virtually the entire line, resulting in all R&D going to that rather than new products. Watch out, there's a bunch of new stuff on the horizon. Here's what I saw that's new.

Yes, it's the legendary 3010ho and 3010lf. For release later this year.

Thanks, Leland!!! At least we know that they're in the works! Any chance that you might be able to get the specs of the 3010LF?
