Crown XTi 1000 and Otop 15 with Kappalite 3015ho

I have been torn between building an Otop 15 or a Jack 12 for my lightweight DJ rig. The Otop 15's seem to have more punch above 60 HZ than the Jack if used stand alone. None of this matters if you add Titan 48's to the equation. But I might have to make a decision based on what my amps can push.

So I have a Crown XTi 1000 and Crown XTi 2000 in my rack. I am also planning on building 2 Titan 48's. I was thinking about using the XTi for the Otop 15's and the XTi2000 for the Titan 48's. Is 275W@8 Ohms enough to drive the Otop 15's or not? The RMS rating of the Kappalites are 450W. I don't want to run out of amp when running live.

DR280s? overall better sensitivity curve than the Otop15 but a bit bigger. a crown xti 200 would be prettty nice for them I assume.

Yea I looked at those plans and I think I'll walk before I run.

So do you think the XTi 1000 can handle the Otop 15 or will I have to run the Titan 48's with the XTi 1000 and use the XTi 2000 for the Otop's?

I honestly think the 1000 will be fine for the Otops. equal loudness curves show uswe basically need way more power forbass. 2 T48s maxed out usually call for 2 otop 12s at about 75-100 watts each for me.

Run the OT15s off one side of the XTi2000, T48s off of the other side of the XTi2000. Use the XTi1000 for monitors.

Agreed this will work fine. YOu can even run 4 T48 off one side and two tops off the other side. I've done it and it runs fine.

I run two T39 3012LF and two 2512 loaded OT12s on one XTi 2000 for over 95% of my gigs.

The 5% will be running four OT12s on the XTi 1000 and four T39s on the XTi 2000 for outdoor gigs, around 1000 person audience.
