AKG wireless mic

ANyone tried this sound wise?Impressive, 30 hrs. for a single AA battery!

That's what the singer of one of my band is using and she never had any problem with it in 6 months.

Battery time is good. Wireless is good. I don't really crave the sound of it though: I had to play with eq. For live shows, they are ok.

I've been thinking about the non-diversity version of this for our kids' school. They currently have some very cheap wireless mics, which tend to work fine on rehearsals and drop out in real use :cussing: This is about the cheapest "real" stuff I've seen, and as it is a very small school the budget is tight. But it seems to me the WMS40 series are end of life? At least I see them disappearing from shops in Europe :confused: . Perhaps they are just out of stock here. I am curious to hear more real life experience reports here.
