Is the 60v for 1 or 2 cabs? I get the math, just not the concept. I will measure output of 1000 tomorrow when I set up.

if the cabs are in parallel then the voltage is the same for both cabs.

This is measured at the amp. The drivers do not really matter. Paralleled drivers all get the same voltage as what is coming out of the amp, in this example, 60 Volts. Series-wired drivers get half the 60 Volts (30 V each driver) for 2 in series, a third for 3 drivers (20 Volts each driver), a quarter for 4 drivers (15 Volts each driver) and so on. But the amp will still be outputting the same 60 Volts.

I guess I was wondering if the 60v is enough for 2 cabs in parallel (5 ohms resultant.) The math gives 720 watts to the pair, or if 1 cab at 10 ohms; 360 watts. Is this the max they can handle?

A quick test out of the box, the XLS 1000 peaked out at 83.8 Volts using simply the RCA inputs and my laptop with 40 Hz test tone. Seems like it will be plenty for 2 T48s.

They do get pretty high, but with real program material my xls402 can't even keep up with my bp102's, for that, i have to use the xls 802 if I really want to drive them. keep in mind the 802 is a 500watt/8ohm/chanel amp.

I've run my XLS1000 bridged with 2 - T39s outside for 400 people and haven't had a clip light come on yet. I don't think you'll have a problem with power.

6 - T39 3012LF
4 - OT12 2512
1 - T24
1 - SLA Pro
2 - XF210

Yes I agree. I was thinking that when I measured. 83 Volts is great, but that was with a test, not the actual system hooked up. I don't it's enough headroom I had hoped for. Last night DEFINITELY sounded better than usingh my XLS 602. But like Monomer says, it's all about headroom. Besides, that 83 Volts is with the 1000 running WOT. I don't want to do that with any of my gear.

Looks like I may turn it in for a larger Drivecore model.
