Input Sensitivity

#1 Post by sonicanvil »

How important is it to pay attention to input sensitivity and to try to match voltage?
Do you (or how do you) measure the voltage of equipment thru the chain before it reaches the amplifier?

This is called gain matching. Read the papers on that. It can get a bit complicated. If done correctly you can achieve very clean mixes.

It all starts with knowing which voltage scale you will be using as a reference.

This stuff should already be in the education section.

In all honesty i have been completely unaware of the education section.
Like most people i come to the forum and view the active topics without selecting a specific section.
Thank you for opening my eyes.
