Helpful hints on how to build 'em, and where to get the stuff you need.

SPL and impedance charts?

#1 Post by bean438 »

WHere do you find these charts for the drivers used in the home theatre designs?

Are they included with the drivers? Just playing around with the interactive cross over design web page.

Most of the time if they do or don't come enclosed in the driver, they will be published electronically on the web. And usually the place that sells them has the link to it.

Goldwood only lists a spec sheet, and transducer evaluation sheet, not the charts as shown in the plans.

Does Bill get these graphs from a computer program or is there a source for them?

Are there any good web sites to learn more about xovers?

Parts Express has t/s parameters for Goldwood drivers.

bean the charts will change when you change the box. Impedance included. If you download winisd you can mess with box designs and I do believe it has the ability to make charts as well.It is a free program.

I use Eminence designer which will also produce impedance charts as per box design. It is not free however.

In the case of horns I use Hornresponse. It also produces impedance charts per design including tapped horns.

You either have to get them from the driver manufacturer or measure them yourself with one of these:
