EZ TrackSaw
EZ TrackSaw
Thought I would check out the 64" and the square combo My concern is how the bevel cut work out with tracksaw If you use one please let me know how it works for you ? does it tip or do you need to make a brase.I have a shopsmith v but I think the table is a little small and I dont have there out table plus there table tilts not the blade. I know that qwalt and makida have a saw and track now but have a circular saw why not use it.
Re: EZ TrackSaw
The DeWalt, Makita, or ORIGINAL Festool track Plunge Circular saws the saw is actually more than half the system. I know the Festool is not cheap but worth every penny. The major advantage is the cutline. When you tilt the saw for angles the clear edge of the track is still the cutline not need for different tracks for different angles and it is very precise.
Otherwise you can just make and use the guide in plans. Sure the EZ whatever has some other advantages over the included guideboard plans but if you want to make the next jump do yourself the favor (Like many finish carpenters in our area are, out major specialty tool company has trouble keeping them in stock) and get the Festool. You will be glad for a long time you did. Heck even the Jig is just fabulous. Amazing really. I tried a guide board for baronvonsteves old jigsaw and the blade still drifted badly. YUCK. The festool can cut 45s on a guideboard or circles without a second thought. SICK.

Re: EZ TrackSaw
Ewetho Thanks for your input yes I see it is a very good pick for sure and if I get into a lot of woodworking would like to have one or one of the knock offs I can see the plung saw would also be safer and better I'm sure and the EZ saw is not really that cheap without a saw but I think for plywood should do just fine the youtube videos look pretty good and now that there is more saws in the mix maybe the price will fall into place for the begginers to hope for. I can see paying for the best if you are making money with it like speakers for DJs and KJs looks like there is a lot of user out there for the EZ saw so cant be that bad still better then just a straight edge not sure wont know till I try it out need all the help I can get.
Re: EZ TrackSaw
Yeah the finish cut is just so nice with Festool. Never get that with my Skill saw. Maybe a blade change would help but that was comparing it to new as I have not used it much. I have never gotten that quality.
Check out their website too. Just about as advertised. They skip some measurement stuff like most but WYSIWYG!
