Haven't been on here in a while, but still using my OT 12's for everything. This is from a Youth Crusade in a 20,000 seat football stadium. We were using only one side of the stadium, counting on around 1000 in attendance. The area I covered would seat 5000. Event consisted of a praise band and several speakers. The entire area had excellent coverage. Probably wouldn't have been enough for a rock festival, but it was completely adequate for a ministry event. Estimates were 2500 actually in attendace.
I built some kickback stands to face the OT's up into the bleachers. The subs of course did not need to be aimed up. Nothing but positive compliments on the sound. Friends in the bleachers said that you could clearly hear every word from every speaker anywhere in the coverage area.
my OT's are all loaded with 2512 drivers. 4 on each side, all on one QSC PLX 2402 amp, 2 ohm load per side, stereo mode, so theoretically each driver had 300 watts available.

Looks like quite the rig. Hope you have some help setting up. That's a big venue to cover, and outside too. I'm curious if you any spl readings out in the stands or up close? Any plans on replacing those dual 18"s in the future? Maybe some T48s or 39s?

Good to see the OT's have seen some action. I think every cab should have battle scars.

brodave2 is welcome to speak for himself, but if I recall correctly he did build some T48's at one point but decided they weren't for him and stuck with this double 18's. I don't recall the reason.Robby Hoinsky wrote:Looks like quite the rig. Hope you have some help setting up. That's a big venue to cover, and outside too. Yeah, I remember that, 4x T48's. The total measurable output of the 18's came out as about the same, or something like that.Zack Brock wrote:brodave2 is welcome to speak for himself, but if I recall correctly he did build some T48's at one point but decided they weren't for him and stuck with this double 18's.
