Best sound set up for Jacks 110 & the T39 ?

Hello
I will power a pair Jacks 110 & the T39 with two QSC- GX5 . what do I need to get the ultimate sound out of the speaker .
planing to order
soundcraft EFX8 & 31 band Equalizer
This Sound system mainly use for in house Karaoke & pool party pre recorded music ..
There are any better oftion please give advice
by the way which is good 31band EQ buidin feed back destroyer

You need a processor that will do limiting or a compressor/limiter unit to go with the EQ.

Just like an eq is not optional, neither are crossovers. Also don't forget the parametric eq's that go directly to each cab rather than the whole output as you will have with 31eq you have. So in short, to get the best out of those cabs, a processor is required (than or an xti or separate equipment).

However, before getting my home system and did not want to set up all the pro stuff at home, I would plug the t18 and the yamahas into my behringer powered mixer which happens to have separate 9band eq for each channel. However, you do have to keep the top placed on the sub as it becomes very directional without the proper filtering. Would I ever run them like that at a gig? no. I would rather run my four jacks rather than do that.

Either : mixer > processor > amps
or: mixer > EQ > crossover > limiter > amps

If you haven't already got the amps you might consider one with the processing built in
mixer > amp but that would be a mono sound system, no great loss in most cases of providing sound to the masses.

If you were to have just one device I think it should be the DCX2496, since it has cross-overs, parametric EQ, and limiting, all on each output. This is a little bit more than the DEQ2496.

Got one....works great. Haven't used the Behringer, but I'm happy with the DriveRack. You can find used ones on Ebay all the time. I think people buy them and don't ever figure out why they bought 'em. Mine was used but looked brand new. The guy said he just never really used it. Wasn't even any user pre-sets set up.

If you get a Driverack PA make sure that it is the later version (Driverack PA+). The original Driverack PA had some serious design deficiencies that could bite you in the ****. (Biggest one being that the outputs are not muted on power up and power down. If for whatever reason your power amps are on and the power to the DPA is cycled, chances are what you hear will sound just like an explosion--as your drivers are ripped apart by the transient. It was kinda funny when a salesman at GC blew up a couple of thousand dollars worth of orange badged speakers--but you won't think it's funny if you are footing the bill)

I can vouch for this as this is exactly what happens with the two older DriveRack PA models I have. A lot of rack equipment does this unfortunately.

To compensate, we simply turn off the DriveRack's last, after the power amps are off and drained. So if you get a used one for cheap it isn't the end of the world.

Power On Cycle:
Turn on rack equipment and processors
Turn on power amps

Power Off Cycle:
Turn off power amps, wait a few secs to drain
Turn off rack equipment and processors

Yep. That is the recommended and best practice. Problem is (and this is what bit the GC salesman by the way) that most people turn on the FOH equipment, let it stabilize, then go flip on the power amps. Problem is that if the speaker processor is racked with the power amps (best practice in most cases) a lot of people tend to forget or overlook it. So then they go back to FOH, turn everything up and there is no sound. At some point they discover that the speaker processor is turned off and BANG--they turn it on. No problem with the DCX, higher level Driveracks or any other processor that I have seen. They all mute the outputs during power up and power down. But the Driverack PA neglected this--to meet a price point. They would have been better off leaving out the useless "Sub-Harmonic" crap.
