I ran two EP2500s for a few years. Decent amps. Not as bulletproof as the Peavey CS800s they replaced, but decent. Had some overheating issues at outdoor gigs in 100+ degree weather, but hey ... that's HOT, and they were being pushed a bit. The biggest downside was their weight, since I had them in a DIY rack together for a while. Once I put them in their own individual racks, the issue was "solved". Hope yours works out well for you.

Good work boss. I picked up a "new" used one for $150 and a used one for $100. Keep your eye out as they seem to be popping up all over the place for cheap and they are a great starting amp, especially for the prices we are picking them up for if your looking for another. I'll be running my J12+T30 setup with mine through a bbeDS24. Just another avenue you might want to look into.

I found an EP 2500 (the older version of the EP 4000) on craigslist for $200 brand new, in the box!! I couldn't pass it up . I also bought a brand new Behringer CX2310 for $125 to act as my outboard crossover. For my financial situation (in school) I feel I got the best equipment while staying under my budget.

I also successfully built my first OT 12 and am working on my T48

Thanks for the help guys,
Joe
Best you find a limiter too!
