Re: Crest E-lite debuting
For what its worth, I had a Crest CC2800 go bad on me last weekend, still under warranty. Two years old, light use, and it started tripping the breaker as soon as it is turned on. I've called Crest Tech support 3 times, left 2 voice mails, and emailed them 3 times, trying to find out where to go for warranty service. That started Monday before last. Still no response, no emails in my spam filter either.
I've since called around and found a Peavey dealer that agreed to take care of it for me. He's gonna either send it off or see if Crest will let him fix it. But I'm kinda bummed about Crest's lack of response.
From what I've gathered talking to receptionists at Crest, their tech support 'group' consists of one guy named Anthony. And Anthony's phone stays busy and he doesn't respond to voice mail or email.
Hard to believe a company that big only has one tech support guy.
Hopefully the Peavey dealer will somehow be able to get it fixed under warranty and get it back to me....we'll see....

Crest is Peavey, they integrated their companies a while back.

Yeah, but they have different service centers for warranty work.Zack Brock wrote:Crest is Peavey, they integrated their companies a while back.
Several places I called do warranty service on Peavey, but they are not allowed to do warranty service on Crest.
Same parent company, different rules.
