Hi Everyone,
Im planning on building 4 Tuba 30's Loaded with 3012lf's
The idea is that i can take two to some gigs and 4 to others and use the same amp.
Im planning on using a QSC GX5 amp which does 500w/8ohms or 700w/4 Ohms
Is this possible, As somewhere on the forums i saw that you should only run 300 watts into the 3012lfs
Also im planning on buying a DBX Driverack PA+ any reason why i shouldnt?
GX5
Re: GX5
the 3012lf is limited to 50 volts as per the plans. the gx 5 probably puts out about 52 volts at 4 ohms I believe? with some work from the drpa you will be fine. Limiting is good. I dont expect you will be running them WOT all the time either, and you've got a couple volts of extra space for overhead.
