Thanks Bill

#1 Post by davetripd »

Ive been lurking around here for a couple years and dont post often. Fkn huge thanks to these designs, Bought 2 spec t48's and 2 spec dr280's from Mike Roam, did my first outdoor show (4 total) on saturday and my "little" system was being compared to much much bigger and more expensive systems, everyone was impressed especially with the quality of the sound. And I really mean impressed.
Thanks again bill!

Yeah, I remember those cabs, as I was very impressed with their appearance. Glad to hear that they sound as good as they look and that they're doing the job for you.

At first glance scrolling the page they look like 2 matching refrigerators side by side.

Excellent work on those, they look great.

It's perforated steel sheet from McNichols in Dallas, TX. It comes in a 4'x8' sheet, but they cut it into 48"x24" pieces for shipping...then I took it to my local metal fabricator to bend the edges. About $120 for the full sheet. That was a few years back. Those grills were later painted black with gray 1/4" filter foam backing.
