Spray Painting Piezo Arrays?

#1 Post by Zack Brock »

I need to spray paint a pair of already assembled, installed and mounted arrays.

Will paint negatively affect the piezo elements? Or do I need to take care to cover them? If so, any suggestions? Only way I can think to do it is with a bunch of masking tape circles to cover the elements.

Thanks in advance for any tips or techniques!

That is exactly what bill says to do, he covered the elements with the tape circles and sprayed them with a light texture coat of duratex, said they look great with the duratexed cabs.

Our you could buy some of these. http://www.labelsbythesheet.com/items/r ... detail.htm

I made little cone shapes out of card stock paper. Doing this instead of circles made it easy to insert them into the openings and remove them afterward by gripping the tip of the cone. And since they are made of card stock, they're sturdy enough to be reusable. Sorry, I didn't take any pics of the process.
