Finally fired up my DR 250's!!!

#1 Post by neverendingbeatz »

Man, I couldn't believe how sensitive those speakers are. I fired my DR 250's with a 29" Titan 48 in my driveway yesterday afternoon and thought I died and went to heaven.

I was running a CE-2000 using channel 1 mono DR's and Channel 2 for the titan. I have a compressor,15 band EQ, Electronc X-over set at 120hz. That just blew away my JBL SRX 725 set up I was previously using. The amp never even came close to clipping, the sound was loud, clear, and the bass was siiiccckkkkk!!!!

Thanks Bill...

Today, I'm going to put on my custom Duratex Paint....

I am running the CE1000 into 4 250's and at only 225 watts per cab you should be able to get the amp to clip easily-WRONG I was afraid to turn it that loud :!: only 225 watts per cab is ungodly loud even though there is no headroom. DO yourself a favor and get 2 more 250's and 1 more 48 running if funds allow. And be careful ordering the paint- Make sure the temps aren't going to be too cold and wreck the pain b4 it gets to you!

No matter , he's in LA after all. But in any event DuraTex has altered the formula so that it's not harmed by freezing.
