None of their drivers are worth considering.

i definitely noticed that after reading it. i had wondered if their neo 12 was an acceptable driver for the jack (thought maybe it was a beta12 copy or similar), but i could never find the specs. now that i see them im glad i never bought one. just thought id share the info for others

I thought that the Carvin PS10 was an eminence Beta 10 re-badged. Is that not the case then?

It was years ago, I don't believe it is now.

That's a pity. I was going to use the PS10s from my Carvin 8x10 in some Jacks. The cab is about 6 years old and I replaced the PS10s with higher power Eminence 4 ohm drivers. I wonder when the PS10s changed from being Beta 10s?

Got some pics up of a 1993 PS10 for ya. May help identify yours. http://billfitzmaurice.info/forum/viewt ... 13&t=11612

Thanks for that. My PS10s have a similar label but instead of the sticker on the side of the magnet it has 3G14F stamped on the magnet itself and there are only 4 fixing holes. Any ideas anyone?

Great looking cabs and I like that they're not black or is that heresy?

Just a quick up date for those that may be interested.

I read on the net that Carvin drivers are now made in China. I e-mailed Eminence with the serial numbers that I have on my PS10s and that is not an Eminence serial number so it may well be right that Carvin speakers are now Chinese. They sound alright though and I didn't notice a difference.

While not claiming to be definitive, this info tends to support older Carvin PS10's being Eminence Beta 10s:

Current Carvin PS10

My 1993 Carvin PS10, Label closeup
Eminence Carvin PS10 1034FR 10387 67-92130132 10" Speaker Repair Recone Pictures by Orange County Speaker

The Orange County Speaker numbers and my label are close matches. My 1993 PS10 has "1034FRA, 10387, 67-9318062 G2" on the label as well and "Made in USA" on the label, 8 hole mount. The current PS10 has a 4 hole mount and does not have "Made in USA" on the label.

That confirms that it is not Eminence sourced.
