This weekend was the first time I have been able to use a full BFM FOH rig. Like the title says, 2xDR200s, 2XT39s @ 14", in a field about the size of your average high school track field (bigger than a football field). Tops split about 40', with subs center clustered. I don't have the V plate, but so far I haven't needed it, so the subs just stand up.
I run a drive rack PA, cross the system @ 125Hz, and use the "High bass, low highs" pink noise graph. I didn't run the RTA mic all the way out to the console position (about 30' short), and wish I had, as the highs were a touch sharp where I was. After I turned down the tops on the amp, though, the sound really blended.
I had the amp outputs to run stereo, which always makes me very happy. The guitars were panned L and R, and the bands with 2+ singers had the vox panned as well. I like to place drums like you would see them if you were sitting behind the kit. With this setup , the stereo imaging was very good. With the melded array, you could still get a good blend of L/R until you were in a little triangle right in front of the stage (in the middle) at which point the bass started to really take over, but at that point the monitors and amps could fill in the high end.
I used to hear a lot of phasing (in the cymbals esp.) as I would walk back and forth in front of the stage, but either I wasn't paying attention to it or it is reduced with the melded arrays. As I would get to the extreme sides of the field the top on that side would become dominant, but the sweet spot with my system is basically everywhere.
On stage I ran 4 box store wedges, but cut them @ 100Hz. The subs gave enough low end rumble to fill the stage with bass. I was lucky enough to hear the system from out front and on stage. I used to run the Yammie single 15's w/ a horn as tops, and was always pleased with the sound. However, the weight difference with the new tops makes them well worth the time it took to build them.
Overall, the system was crystal clear, loud (although a little in-your-face), and present. This system is way more horse power than we will *ever* need for the indoor places we play that don't have a system, but for this gig it was perfect. I still had a good amount of headroom in the tops, the subs I would guess were at 80% (they would compress a little bit during the musical peaks), but I don't do this for a living, and don't want to do sound in front of anything louder in any case. Once I build some WH10's, I will have the best sounding PA that my band can reasonably cart around.

I run my DR's 20%-25% lower than my subs at the amp as well and find suits my needs well. Once you build the WH's you will notice an overall clarity not only on stage but FOH as well.

Most probably the BP102 - I don't recall anyone having built the slim T39 with anything else.
