Thanks Mike. Bloody hell, $254 for these amps . So far €365 is the best I have seen in Europe (shipping not included). That's about twice as much .

It's a class-d amp with a switching power supply and the price is tempting. Class D amps with switching PSU's are very nice for subs, not as good for mids/highs especially with peavey's 0.1%THD, when it comes to class-d theres way cleaner amp modules and kits, for example by hypex.nl but they're more pricey.

I wonder if a IPR 6000 dsp will run good with 8 T39 20", 3012LF, 4 per side in series-parallel @ 10ohm per ch.? You know how much mulah would be saved!!!!

I think it will run fine, you would drive neither Titans nor IPR to full power. The IPR6000 will do 750W per channel into 8 ohm. At that point the amp delivers about 77V max. Series-parallel each Titan will see half of that, some 38V. In that configuration you will drive 150W per cab into the 3012LF. Coasting along nicely, but not driving the Titans to their full potential.

In theory, with this amp and 8 Titans you could save a lot of money and build BP102 loaded T39's. But you wouldn't be able to drive them harder if you only bring part of your subs to small gigs and drive them hard with the IPR.

the market to replace my old QSC 1400 amp for future OT12s.

Why not buy the IPR 1600 and wire them to 2,5ohm? A 2ohm rated amp will handle that NP. It would give you 200w per cab instead of 150w, you would spare the concern of the series-parallell wiring and you'd spare 350$.

Peavey IPR 1600 is on it's way to me. Demo-ed (and somewhat scratched) in the shop, otherwise new, full warranty. Great price (you Americans would laugh at it, gear is stupid cheap on your side of the pond).

Hello, according to charts it delivers 530 watts at 4 ohm, I've done some measurings according to one thread in beginning it will deliver approx 46 volts, so for instance let's say, two 3012lf drivers in parallell on each side for 4 ohms load, will they see 46 volts each or is voltage d[spl][/spl]ivided by number of drivers?

Ive seen ppl doin gigs with 3012's nevr exceeding 20 volts, will this amp be enought to drive 4x 3012's to good performance?

I did a little digging around and the feeling I get is people are positive on these amps. Not a great deal to go on, but enough to get a good sense on real experiences.

At the street price of the IPR3000 I could pretty much sell off all three of my existing amps and buy 3 new, shaving almost 40lbs out of my amp rack and maintaining about the same wattage to boot! Crazy.

The burning question I have is how are they *really* on sub duty?
I know that almost every where I've read that peeps do not like the XTi's for subs. Are these any better?

I think that if they had a different brand name I'd be more motivated, but I just can not be taken seriously in certain circles with that name in my rack...

It's too bad about that, of course I would probably laugh at people using certain products from other manufacturers. It's too bad that those professionals don't realize that some of the largest corporations and installations use Peavey products day-in and day-out to entertain and make money. The only problems with my Peavey gear has been operators not knowing how to use it.

Just got my IPR 1600 and messed around with it for a few hours.

They drive my T30's really hard(not to it's full potential but very good), and actually they have never sounded better. VERY good authority! better sound than the Peavey PV3800 amp which I've used before.. It kind of sounds more even tho it's not as powerfull, with a better freq range.

So far, GREAT product! Now let's just examine the reliability... Hope it's up to par

hey, just to follow up...yeah yeah, I know what I said a few posts up...but I actually sold all my amps and now run all IPR3000's.
My main rig uses 3 of them. I've got a 4th for the occasional additional speakers/monitors and a 5th for back up or whatever. I ran the three in my main rig a lot this summer. They sound great and so far no issues at all.

They sound way better on my subs than the xti4000's.
I lent one of the amps out to someone who does a lot of live sound. He did a shootout with it on subs and declared the IPR beats a QSC RMX 2450, which I found surprising since so many people love the QSC for subs.
