This power amp - can any of you guys recommend it? Are they well regarded? Thanks for any opinions.

The Crest CA9 was going to be my led sled of choice if I couldn't get my Crown K2 (for electric bass). The CA6 and CA4 have less power, but still well regarded. Personally I wouldn't go for the lower power, but I guess it depends what you'll be using it for.

I have a CA6. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is heavy and it is deep, so it requires a deep rack to mount it. It's a clean, powerful, reliable amp. I've only run it with efficient cabs, and it's always made plenty of power.

I've got a CA6 and a CA9, used them both on bass and PA for several years, never a minute of trouble from either one.

They are heavy, and do not have Speakon connections. Other than that they are good amps. Actually, they are great amps until the time comes to move them.

So if you don't mind the weight or aren't going to pack them around much, I'd say jump on it if it has the power you need.
