DR 200 review

Hello, I just finished my first DR speaker. The DR200 is a great little box. I was amazed with the sound/output that it produces. I am not a woodworking pro, so the box took some time to build. Don't get in a hurry building a DR, enjoy the process. Here are the things I like about this speaker:

1. The DR 200 puts my Yamaha S115's to shame.

2. The DR 200 speaker is very loud for very little amp output, you don't need a monster amp to drive this speaker.

3. The speaker seems to like about a 120HZ x-over point and they have a sweet spot the you can mess with in the EQ from about 1.6K to 4K. On my Behringer EQ, 4K and above seems to do nothing.


I am now running a very flat EQ setting with this speaker. I am really looking forward to using a pair of 200's very soon at some shows and post more about them. As for now with my testing in the garage, this speaker rules! Here is a link to my build photos.
