TS parameters

#1 Post by brodave2 »

loudspeakers are extremely simple devices, nothing more than a cone, voice coil, and magnet. The variances in the way they perform is drastically different. What makes the difference in the TS parameters? How does that work? Also, if a particular speaker is available in 8ohm and 4 ohm, the two have different TS parameters. Why is that?

have fun :)

There's a program that will model direct radiator stuff which has helped me understanding speakers. I got at my computer at home so I cant remember, but I think I got off the jbl website, if not, it must have been the eminence.

Also there a few threads dicussing this already on the Educational forum.
