Just for the record...Jack 10

#1 Post by richsticks »

My Jack 1x10 is complete.
6 piezo flat array, and a Beta 10 with filters as in the plans (complete with hand wound inductors).
Used with my bass running a Warwick profet 3.2 I can report the following:
The Jack has better mid / high end response that my old 4x10. :D
The Jack has better low end response than my old 1x15. :D
The Jack is louder than the pair of them put together. :D

Thanks Bill, and everybody else from the forum who helped with advice & encouragement.

This is the sort of comment that will keep me from building a second cab, (that and the lack of space in my apartment). I am waiting on an amp to experience the sound.

It shouldn't. Everything gets better with a second cab. And three is better than two, etc., though I can't see anyone needing more than four, for any gig. And the storage foot print of two, or three or four, is the same as one.

+100. My single sounds good, my stack of two sounds way better than my single, and my stack of three sounds way better than the two. A stack of four will be the goal when the weather turns nicer.

The thing that makes me want multiples is putting wheels on the bottom one and those cab clamps that Leland has :) Such an amazingly cool idea.
