Some great information for the "noob"

#1 Post by Stonycreek »

In my course of learning all I can about setting up sound, I happened across this website. It has helped me a bunch to better understand the basics. Hopefully someone will also find it useful.

Tips, Information and Do It Yourself Construction Articles.

Take it like a piece of chicken... lots of meat there but some bones too. They believe that instruments pass DC signals, speakers pass AC signals, among other things.
99% of the time, things that aren't already being done aren't being done because they don't work. The other 1% is split evenly between fools and geniuses.

Thank you Brent. I spent most of the day and evening yesterday reading over the information on the speaker networks and series and parallel setups while trying to get a grasp on the speaker to amp pairing. I am learning a lot and never realized how much really goes into setting up and balancing good sound the correct way.

I am becoming very addicted to this information and just can't get away from the PC. :noob:

I am starting to feel like Number 5 in the movie "Short Circuit" - I need more input.....

Here's another one.

I'm actually considering starting my own business, based on all that I've learned here, and being the only autorized builder in Europe, it should go quite well. (That is IF I get to be an authorized builder. It won't happen in the upcoming one or two months though.)
