Pair of Omnitop 12s

I have a pair of Omnitop 12s that I built 10 years ago that I am selling (honestly can't believe it has been 10 years!). This pair of OT 12s have the Eminence Deltalite 2512 Neo 12" Drivers and the JBL/Selenium TI220 compression drivers using the OT12 horn design. The crossover design is from t...

Re: Speakers for sale!!

Lol, I know the seller hasn't been here in a while. But I recognize one of those pairs of T-39s. I think I sold them to him. I still have one pair, which is all I need atm.

Re: Airshow

From the sub placement guide: "The basic rule is to have them either less than a quarter-wavelength apart or more than two wavelengths apart for their pass band, which for 40 to 100 Hz means less than 2.8 feet or more than 56 feet." I did have a v-plate in the trailer and consider stacking...

Re: Airshow

The most hilarious part of the day was the power that they had for us. Before we got there they told use that we would be running on a generator. Always a little concerning since you never know what to expect. When we were ready for power I got one of the maintenance guys to show me how to start it ...

Airshow

Here are a couple of photos from an event we did yesterday. My friend's band played during dinner and during the intermission of a private corporate airshow. We knew that the crowd would be large but I think it was a bit bigger than anyone expected. We used my four T39s and four OT12s plus the bands...

Re: Rig debut

It's fun to finally get the rig in a big room isn't it? I really like the XR18 for a small gig. So much better than anything else in the price range. Just an amazing about of power and flexibility. And not having to deal with a snake save so much setup time. I've also used the Presonus RM16AI which ...

Re: Marching Band Sound Reinforcement

I've helped with a few marching band competitions and have attended may more. One issue that I haven't seen mentioned here is that the band can not count on having AC power available at every performance venue. At least that is the case for dozen or so venues where my son's school competes. Nearly a...

Re: Replacing a EMX 5000

The x32 Compact would be an excellent choice. If you added a wireless router, you could also control it with a tablet or laptop. So you still would have the ability to move around the room if you choose. Another nice feature is that you would have the ability to add the P-16 in-ear monitor system fo...

Re: Replacing a EMX 5000

It isn't a downgrade in SQ. Absolutely! Not only will it not be a downgrade, it will likely be a huge upgrade in sound quality. This will be true of any decent digital board. The ability to setup a gate on each channel will help with feedback control, digital compressors will dramatically improve y...

Re: Replacing a EMX 5000

If you're considering any of the Behringer mixers and you're not in a hurry, keep an eye on the Music Group eBay store. I have seen refurb X-Air 18s for $540 and X-32s for $1300. They all come with a 3-year warranty (if you register within 90 days). The available inventory changed daily. http://www....

Re: Replacing a EMX 5000

For traditional style digital mixers the PreSonus StudioLive 16.4.2 and the Behringer x32 are both very good. I would guess that these are probably two of the most popular mixers used for worship these days. If you want to do something completely non-tranditional, the Behringer X-Air 18 is pretty aw...

Re: 1 year with the OT12's and T39's and My XF guitar cab

Thanks for sharing the videos. The OT12 vocal clarity is awesome. I agree that the drums are hard to hear in the mix. But I find that acoustic drums can be hard to deal with. If the drummer plays loud and has quality cymbals, they can overpower a small PA. If they play softly they will need help fro...
