Yeah, rewound alternators suck. The police 200A unit was built from the ground up as a high-output alternator, though. It is almost twice as deep as the civi alt and It has 8 diodes vice the normal 4. The rotor is so heavy they had to put a One-Way clutch in the pulley so when the trans shifts the r...

I want to hear how getting it installed with just the one access panel works. Its fatter around than the MCM. If you can get it in alright then Ill probably do what you did with just the one, larger, access.
