Re: behringer ep2000 help!
i think the issue lies with then denon, not the mixing of home/pro gear although I do agree with you that it probably wasn't the best idea. There's a 14dB difference between consumer and pro gear, and an additional 6dB difference between running into pro gear with an unbalanced versus balanced send...

Re: behringer ep2000 help!
I've looked at the fan mod, definately going to do that.
And I think a factory reset on the denon may not be a bad idea, i've adjusted so many things since getting this behringer amp that I should probably start over.
Thanks for all the advice.

i think the issue lies with then denon, not the mixing of home/pro gear although I do agree with you that it probably wasn't the best idea. Even before just outputting straight from the denon to me paradigm amp it didn't push it at all, I was always messing around trying to get more from the sub and...

Re: behringer ep2000 help!
i'm mixing words, by phono I meant red/white rca connectors. But I ended up finding the problem, now I have to figure out how to get it working properly. Culprit is the preout on my denon. I had tried what you mentioned Brent regarding channel levels, but got nothing, but thats because my preout was...

Re: behringer ep2000 help!
that's not it, i've made sure. well i've discovered it's not the behringer. thought I had eliminated everything but that wasn't the case. I have a 2 channel setup that doesn't hook up to the denon, I took the analog unbalanced preouts from my external dac, (actually just took the right channel), put...

Re: behringer ep2000 help!
The problem might be that the 1/4" input is TRS, not R - L - GROUND . If you use only a Red, or only a White if you want, RCA and connect that to a 1/4" TS, you'll be OK. P.S. -think mono on the 1/4", not stereo. This. I'm not sure you get the distinction between consumer stereo and ...

Re: behringer ep2000 help!
How many bands are on your TRS plug? 2 or 1 2 is stereo/balanced in this exercise 1 is mono. Like I have already mentioned i've tried with both style of adapters, one 'stereo' and one 'mono'. My switches have been adjusted and changed many times, I know them by memory now. ch1 - 1.clip on 2. 30hz 3...

Re: behringer ep2000 help!
Like I mentioned above I have tried inputting from my subwoofer preout using both a 1/4" TRS adapter and a rca -> 1/4" TS.

Re: behringer ep2000 help!
true but the ipod was straight 3.5mm stereo cable to 1/4" stereo adapter and still no dice. That completely eliminates my denon and the rca cable.

Re: behringer ep2000 help!
I just grabbed an ipod, a male-male 3.5mm stereo jumper type cable and plugged the other end into a female 3.5mm to male 1/4" stereo. Different source, same problem :( Had to max the volume on the ipod and max the gain knob to get a signal. Edit - I think the problem is the behringer. For the f...

Re: behringer ep2000 help!
Well I just played around with it some more, finally got it working but I need to set the volume on my a/v receiver very high and then max the gain knob on the ep2000. With everything turned up super high (almost uncomfortable listening level on the mains) and gain know turned all the way up i'm onl...

behringer ep2000 help!
I just bought a ep2000 to power a single subwoofer for now but cannot get it to work. XLR and 1/4" inputs. Decided to use the 1/4" since adapters are easy to find at the local electronics store. I have a denon AVR with a subwoofer cable, single end at receiver, red/white rca at other end s...

Re: THT Build... Holy S&*t!
i don't recall exactly, it was a couple electronic or "dubstep" type songs. Not my usual listening but was fishing through music looking for bass heavy songs. But like I mentioned above it was just for that certain style of music which I don't normally listen to anyways, plus my sub was no...
