Re: 100K watts of PK subs @ Excision Raleigh

I was in PK's shop about a month ago here in Calgary AB just out of curiosity as they have been deemed the go to sound company for Bass and their system is making it onto some bigger named artists riders. I wanted to have a look at some of their cabs but they were not open to public viewing at that ...

Re: Basement Disco System

Looking for opinions.
Due to major dimension challenges we r going to move away from from the tht and THTLP, the space I have is 60"x60"x18h. It looks like a pair of Tuba 60 slims built as wide as I can would fit but here is the question would they work in this application? Thoughts?

Re: Basement Disco System

Been a bit of time since I have been working on this project but things are almost ready to begin building. Some slight changes to the layout of the basement have been made which will change sub placement. The Subs (2x24"THT) may be layed on their sides tucked into a cutout of the 14 rise of th...

Re: Basement Disco System

Hey Bass Me, THANK YOU A TON. I really appreciate all the feed back. It has given me a lot to think about. Was with the owner again today for about 7 hours and we began to put together his lighting system. The excitement with him is becoming infectious as he learns about the possibilities we can cre...

Re: Basement Disco System

Hey Bass Me, Thank you for the input. You have pointed to an option that a good tech savy friend of mine also pointed to. Using a receiver with pre outs to run outboard amps. He also recommended the QSC GX 3,5,7's as they have RCA in's as well as XLR. This will most likely give us the option to do 5...

Re: Basement Disco System

Thanks Levlhed, Keeping it simple like you recommended has much appeal, and I like the idea and simplicity of the SLA build maybe even the TLAH. Not that the DR's couldn't be done just that I am working with a GC with the builds and if we can save some time on the builds we can put the xtra $$ into ...

Re: Basement Disco System

Good morning guys, I chanced the blizzard and made it over to get my initial pics taken. The systems priority is going to be for the disco 1st and UFC/HT 2nd. He was even talking about having a little Bose for HT. I am not a big fan but, I respect his wishes. If I can however create a cost effective...

Re: Basement Disco System

I have just been advised that this will be used for HT also. :slap:
Which seems as though it will change things a bit as I was also informed that they want Karaoke to be possible and have a DJ booth and have the ability to run tracks with an IPad when a DJ isn't present.
Should be interesting.

Re: Basement Disco System

Doug C, The Titans sound good down there? I had another idea to do maybe 4 18" T48's for a bit more extension. Is is true that the T48's will reach as low as 32hz with enough in the stack before the driver starts to "unload"? Proper terminology? Maybe I am way off on that. Haven't yet...

Re: Basement Disco System

Thanks for the input there Charles. It will get played bloody loud at times. I know what these people party like, b/c of this I want lots of headroom with the system. You have given me some fresh ideas for when I go in for the measure and look around. :fruit: Is it true that mixing pro audio with HT...

Ok Anton, that was the comic relief I needed to piss my pants on the couch with my GF witnessing it.
