I haven't sprayed it, but I absolutely agree. The satin is much easier to work with, does hold texture better. Even without texturing, I think it's a much nicer look

Indeed the dowel is great for on/off loading. This one is 20" wide intended for backline bass use with a matching DR200 (yet to be done). I don't play (just build), but I've had a lot of fun with it in the shop. When Adam does a gig with it, I'll encourage him to do a review

Titan 39 Bracing/Support - Pictures

We're about done with our T39. We used some large wood dowels for bracing, and some extra strips around the door that made assembly easier. http://www.lonesaguaro.com/speakers/BFD/Titan39/FrontBack39SM.jpg There are a few pages of photos at my website: http://www.lonesaguaro.com/speakers/BFD/Titan39...

Titan 39 Build 90% Done -Some New Tricks

We're down to the painting stage in our Titan 39. We used a big wood dowel for some of the bracing, and some filler strips on the door that made the initial assembly easier.

There are a couple pages of photos at my website:

Parts express has what look to my untrained eye like several "metalized polypropylene" caps with 10.0 uF values... but the prices vary wildly. Jantzens cost about $4 (p/n 027-932). Solens (p/n 027-568) are almost as cheap. Daytons are $6 (p/n 027-244). But then Kimber Kaps jump to over $2...

If you are on a limited budget, leaf thru the sales here. I've bought 4 Amana blades from these guys. Probably run 20 sheets of MDF/PLY thru my 60 tooth still cuts like butta.
