Re: Mostly Melded Array Review HT-DR165

GeSo,
They are okay for rears but like Bill said they have no bottom end. I took the DR200 measurements times .81 to get the DR165 size. If there is any way to squeeze the DR200 in, it would be much better.

Re: BFM HT System

Vinculum, The half piezo's are all the hi frequency I can stand at 10 feet the full array was way too much for me. I stacked them because I had them and it makes them flatter. The holes are the old style ports. Don't worry about piezo's the melded array is fantastic I tried other tweeters the arrays...

Re: BFM HT System

Hi WiSounds, The TT's are bottoms of the HT-DR200's on an active crossover and they just happen to be the right height for the DR's to be a speaker stand. A THT would be too large to fit the space I have. My first BFM speaker was a T36 for a subwoofer The WAF was 0% when the TT replaced it the WAF w...

Re: BFM HT System

Hi tammojsmit,
Mostly about 72 db to 85 db it's not volume that interests me it's the quality of the sound Bill's DR's are outstanding, crystal clear sound.

Re: BFM HT System

Hi GeSo, The different sizes were a fun experiment. Would I do it again ? No. I have learned (the hard way) don't mess with the designs. My room is about 11 ft X 26 ft with a fireplace in the middle. For what it's worth go with DR200's to this day I am amazed at what was missing before in my favorit...

Thanks Guy's, Day 2 impressions, it's hard to explain but I will try. The amount of sound is awesome it's not volume my RS SPL meter starts at 60 DB most of the time it shows LO and shows peaks of 68 DB with an occasional 72 DB a comfortable listing level for me. The perceived sound is like it fills...

LelandCrooks, Thanks, I even impressed myself and thats hard to do. In all the homes I have been in I have never heard a system as good as this one (pats himself on the back) and to think I built it myself. It's all due to Bill's outstanding plans the guy is a friking genus. PS I only installed secu...
