Re: Wireless DMX :0

IMG_1694.JPG got everything assembled on the breadboard except for the optoisolators, I ran out of room on the breadboard. So its exactly like the node_dmx_and_pix_v2.png schematic. I powered it up, and no magic smoke :) also got a little red light on the esp. So I think I'm ready to try to flash t...

Re: Wireless DMX :0

Got my amazon order a couple of days ago, esp8266, antennas, and arduino starter kit. Never realized how small this little guy is. Started piecing things together on the breadboard, using the node_dmx_and_pix_v2.png schematic and adding the optoisolators. Glad I got the starter kit as it comes with ...

Next show was more of a chill back yard vibe, just took one.

Then on Wednesday took them both to a courtyard concert at a local college.

You can see I still need to paint them and add the wheels and handles, I'm just too busy using them :D

Re: First build titan 48

Got the second titan done about a month ago, didn't take any good build pics, it's really just the same thing over again. The second one went quicker and turned out better. Already had the panels roughly cut from the first build, took 4 evenings, about 2-3 hours each. I've gotten to take them out a ...

Re: Wireless DMX :0

Watched some YouTube videos on opto isolators and checked out the links you posted. I think I've got a handle on it. The last link you posted uses these dc-dc converters also. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Murata-Power-Solutions/NKE0505SC?qs=jPQ9GJNohUCN7a36Pde8GQ%3D%3D&gclid=CjwKCAjw0ove...

Re: Wireless DMX :0

One other question, the wiring diagram in the instructable doesn't have the Opto isolators. Can you explain how those are wired into the circuit?

Re: Wireless DMX :0

Got a chance to process your response. So with the the regulators, looks like the major differences are the ones you picked out are much higher current. Seems I know about a quarter of what the info is on the data sheet. What did you look at to tell you the voltage dropped off? Also, yours are LDO r...

Re: Wireless DMX :0

That was going to be part of my next question. I saw the little FTDI device you posted, also read you could program it with an Arduino. I have no prior Arduino or other microcontroller experience. Was thinking of picking up an Arduino uno to play around with, especially if I can use it to program th...

Re: DIY Flood / upwash lights

I was checking out the website for the controller. Do you know the difference between these two? Seem to be similar price with similar features.

Re: First build titan 48

Good catch, Grant, I guess that's why it says to read through the plans twice before starting. The good news is on the first set of braces I had just read about the braces being 6 to 9 inches apart, so there are two sets of braces throughout the inside of the cabinet. I guess by the time I got to th...
