First, I know most of you don't like Carvin. But I have a few guitars, a bass, guitar amps, PA speakers and power amps, and they have all worked near flawlessly. I had one fan problem in a power cab, but I had almost the same problem in a crown amp, so that kinda evens the playing field to me.

Anyway, this product looks pretty awesome. Kind of the mid-level between the cheap and the ridiculously expensive drive racks. I just wanted to see if anyone had an experience with it or insight on if it would work well with a BFM PA. It has 8 input/outputs that can all be separate from each other (so it says) and that would be awesome since I'd need 2 for the mains, 1 for subs, and then i'm left with 5 more for monitors.

I tried one a few months ago. There were some glitches in the software which were annoying. This was v1.0. They may have solved the issues by now.

Aside from the software glitches, was it an overall good product? Is it worth getting or should I just get something else? I hate the behringer stuff, I really haven't had a whole lot of good luck. I have a DEQ and used it like twice and it doesnt even turn on anymore...Though I have just the basic super-x pro crossover and it has worked flawlessly for several yrs, so I guess I just don't trust behringer if there is any major electronic stuff going on...

It's versatile and fairly straightforward to use. Give it a shot if it has everything you need. I don't think there's anything else in its price range that can do what it does.

I ended up with a DCX2496 after returning the Carvin. I like it better overall. You can buy two for the price of the Carvin.

I like the price of the behringer, but I've had multiple things from them just stop working only after one or 2 uses under very light conditions and I treat all my equipment very gently, especially all my racks and anything with a tube in it.
