I haven't been as diligent about posting pics for my DR200 build as I was for my T39's. To be honest, I just want to get them finished. I'm starting to burn out a bit. Need a vacation from building for a while (after finishing this build). Anyway, here's my journey so far...

Throat sides and supports...


Assembled horn throats...


Attaching the woofer baffle...


Baffles attached and vent slots cut out on the first two...



Driver spacers and baffle flanges installed...


Throat fillers and h-nuts for driver mounting installed...


Tops and bottoms cut and lines drawn...

That's all so far folks. Slow and steady...

You're doing something interesting with the butt cheeks. Is that semi-circular cleat a recent change in the plans or an innovation of your own?

The change is not in the plans but is a build method quite a lot of us follow - can't remember who did it first.

Allows for a much easier installation of the back panel with only minimal fuss in shaping the horn sides.

As Chris said, it's not in the plans, but it's been done before by others. I did one of my DR250's that way, and found it a little more difficult to get the curved back material in place, but it greatly simplifies things overall if you're doing a squared back. I am also planning on using sheet metal for the curved backs as Stan (SoundInMotionDJ) and others have done. I'm sure it would be easier to use 1/8" bendy plywood like the plans specify, but I don't have any of that readily available, and I've got lots of store credit at Lowe's from things I've returned over the last year while doing other house projects. And since it has worked for others, I'm going to give it a shot.

I know what you mean though. I need a break also, the 9pm to 1am (only time without family obligations) thing just is wiping me out. But the need for better sound is driving me to get them done.

If all goes well with the wedges I am going to slowly start my 4 or 6 DR's.

Thanks. I'm definitely going to get these babies done! But after I finish, I'm going to take a very LONG break to enjoy what I've built. Like you, the only time I have to work on them is at night and early morning before everyone is up. And it's kind of hard to run a saw while the rest of the neighborhood is asleep.

I live in the country so kit is not uncommon for me to run the table saw/router/whatever at 11/12/1am.
I am going like you with DR200's small/light and a lot of them if need be.
Are you doing a grill? I plan on a metal 1/4" hole grill with fabric behind it with DR 200 etched into the wood before painting.
Someone did some 39's that I love with the Titan 39 etched on the side. Very distinguished and thought out.

I'd love to do a grill, but I'm on a shoestring budget. I don't even have the cash to buy Duratex if the amount I have on hand isn't enough.

That'll last you a few weeks, maybe even a couple months. Then you'll be wondering if 2 of the new J110 wouldn't be a nicer bass rig than a single Omni 10. Also, I notice you don't have any monitors listed in your sig. You really need 4xWH8 to go with the 4xDR200 and 4xT39 to make a complete PA.

How do I know? Because, that's exactly what happened to me this summer. I finished my 4xDR200 in May. Then I wanted to replace my 4xWH6 with 4xWH8. Then I figured while I've taken over the garage for a shop I might as well build 2 more T39 to hold the BP102 drivers I have laying around. Then when I was waiting for parts to arrive I decided I might as well knock out a couple J110s to make a more modular bass rig.

I was in the same boat - Lowes gift cards made stuff from there "free" in terms of the checking account (and the ability of SWMBO to find out the final total...
