I don't know about a link but

How hard could it be though? IMO some kind of cylinder with a rubber boot. Maybe a cut up CV joint boot from a car. PL'ed on or hot glued.

I thought that ports should be tuned. How could they offer a one size fits all when there are many sizes of bass drums?

I do see that Dennis Chambers has one on his kit - so he would know, maybe.

Damn, we need an expert before kick port domination!!

Anyone suggest how big the port should be?

Big enough to tune the drum to the desired frequency, just as with a bass reflex speaker. A better way of doing it would be through the shell, using a rig like what's in the DR200, allowing insertion of various length ducts to tune it to what sounds best.

The KickPort is sized for a 5 to 5 ½ inch hole in your resonant drum head. We prefer a 5 ¼ inch hole because it is easy to install and remove the KickPort. We also strongly recommend the use of a reinforcement ring around hole.
See ‘Installation Instruction Sheet’ and ‘Getting the Most Out of the KickPort’ which can be downloaded here.
If you have ordered your KickPort with the 5 ¼ inch reinforcement ring, simply stick the ring on your resonant drum head and cut your hole inside the ring. It is recommended that the hole be “off center.”

I always put it just inside the cutout with a ported kick, aimed toward the batter strike point. May or may not work. If you get one, try out a few placements. Maybe just to the side of the port at about the same point along the radius as the port. If your stand can get the mic in there, maybe toward the back of the port.
