What is the purpose of the foam in the woofer chamber of the dr's?
Also, how accurate does the coverage need to be? I know the plans call out covering the inside of the access panel, but in order to COMPLETELY cover the inner surfs of the chamber would require great deal of cutting and fitting...
If it is just to dampen reflections of waves in the chamber, would something like drawer liner work? just looking for the best approach and the best final product.
Thanks...mike

My DR280's are lined with this stuff and as its not rigid it just folds around bends. I staple it in place.

So the primary purpose of the foam or padding is to slow down the refractions inside the chamber, because the sound waves crashing into each other would be heard as distortion at the output - is that the 'fourth grade' physics it?
