G'day,
Heading out to a farm in Kalbar Queensland on the 11/12th April to let this system rip finally, with an alternative date of 25/26th in case of poor weather.
I haven't experienced the 6xT48s V-Plated yet.. really looking forward to that moment
If it's good weather on the 11th, the alternative date I'll be aiming to take the DR280s and 4xT48s to set levels & tune after replacing the DR woofers with SB 12MWN700Ds.

Playing all genres during the day, with EDM mostly after dark.

"A system with a few knobs set up by someone who knows what they are doing is always better than one with a lot of knobs set up by someone who doesn't."
The day went very well, it was sunny & 35 degrees Celsius with a slight breeze so hot but perfect conditions.
I took many videos, all but 3 had wind noise though so l need to upgrade to a proper recorder.
I played many genres, but the standout songs for me were; "Killing Me Softly" The Fugees, "Black Velvet" Alanna Miles and "Alright" Kendric Lamar, the way the T48s articulate the bass so precisely in "Alright" was just amazing.
This system is quite sensitive to recording quality, less than great and it really shows in the SQ, but when the RQ is high... it's such a treat, close your eyes and the band is in front of you!
Properly Frisson inducing...
The system was running around 60-70% for the day & we were listening at 60-165ft away & there wasn't anywhere it didn't sound great, any closer than that & it was ridiculously loud!
At around 7pm people had left & l decided to wrap things up with a couple of Psy Trance tracks at 100% volume; "Cardamoon" Nelix & "Burning Stones" Astrix and had a dance around.. just as Burning Stones was ending a car turned up & it was my friend who own the farm, he came to tell me he was in his tin shed (850ft behind where the system was aimed) which was rattling, raining dust & wasp nests, and he was worried about complaints at that volume
We were talking for about 10-15 minutes with the system just idling & we noticed someone walking over the hill 350ft away with a torch, as they approached we saw it was a few teenagers from a neighbouring farm 1.5 miles away who heard the music over their own tunes & thought it was just next door.. but it wasn't so they kept walking to find it.
So l let rip "Deep Jungle Walk" Astrix, and when the bass dropped it was just swear words from my friend and the kids
All from a single 10A plug... just Epic

I can't lift the T48s myself without beating up the paint, so the first stack is two people lift at either end up & on top, for the third the work platforms which the mains sit on are used. The third sub is lifted onto a work platform directly behind the second, two platforms placed on the ground at the top & bottom of the second stack, then me & the muscle get up & lift the third on the same way as the second, then l get up & l bolt down the V-plate.

Got any pics with someone standing next to that pile of awesomeness?
